Visiting a new place can be a nerve-racking experience. Usually, there are many questions that go through one’s mind before a decision is reached. Our goal is to answer some of those questions you may have to make your decision to visit Bowmar easier.

Who are we?

Bowmar is an energetic church made up of a wide range of different people, from all ages and backgrounds. For more on “who we are” please see About Bowmar.

Where are we located?

Bowmar is located outside the city of Vicksburg, Mississippi (1 mile south of WalMart), on Highway 61S. Our address is 1825 Highway 61S. If you have further questions, please contact the church office at 601-636-2596.

When are the service times?

Bowmar offers two distinctly different services. The Classic Service features a traditional worship experience that includes hymns, and other old favorites. Classic Service is on Sunday morning at 8:30. There is no supporting children’s program during this service. 

The Creative Service is a multi-media worship experience featuring a full band, dramas, video, and other creative elements. The Creative Service is on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and there is a fully-staffed children’s worship experience in the Kids on the Rock Theater. Bowmar Student Ministry has separate Junior High and High School Services on Sundays. The Junior High meets at 10:30 a.m. in the designated student ministry area and the Senior High students worship on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. in the student ministry center. When to arrive?

It might be helpful to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the service start-time for parking, nursery, and an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the facility. Greeters are on-site every Sunday if you have any questions or concerns.

What to wear?

Wear what ever you are comfortable in! Our church is diverse and many of our members feel comfortable in their “Sunday Best,” while others are comfortable in their jeans, flip-flops and T’s.
